If you have paid for whatever appeared to be genuine antivirus app then contact your credit card bank or company quickly and describe the situation. It is less about getting a refund, while that may be possible. It is more about confirming that your credit card details are not used anywhere else.

Use Avast Antivirus:
If you are not able to restore from a backup then open the Mac App Store and then download the Avast Virus Scanner. When it is downloaded and installed then, open the app and click on the Update Definitions option. Once it gets completed then, clicks on the Deep Scan option. After doing it, follow the on-screen prompt to allow the app full access to the hard disk of your Mac operating system.

Clearing Cache:
Again, assuming that you have not been able to recover from a backup and have had to scan your Mac using Avast, you should also clear the cache of your browser. If you are using Safari then,
  •          Click on Safari > Clear History and after that select All History from the drop-down list
  •          Then, click on the Clear History option


Chrome:
  •          Click on Chrome > Clear Browsing Data and then in the Time Range dropdown box, select All Time.
  •          After that, click on Clear Data
